here are sometimes quite different from what you're used to

Money
Exchange: The Banco Nacional de Mexico and the
Bancomer exchange U.S. and Canadian money, Monday through
Friday from 9 to 12. Excluding hotels, the Banco Serfin and
the Banco Internacional in Santiago are the only places outside
of town to exchange money. Their hours are from 10 to 12,
Monday through Friday.
Post Office, Telegraph
and Telephone: The downtown post office, at the
corner of Avs. Juarez and Cinco de Mayo, is open Monday through
Friday 9-8 and Saturday 9-1. Telecomunicacions, where faxes,
telegrams and telexes can be sent, is open Monday through
Friday 9-8 and Saturday 9-12. In Santiago, the post office
and the telecommunications offices are one in the same and
can be found across from Juanito's restaurant on Highway 200.
Immigration and Customs:
Both these offices, Migracion and Aduana, are located in the
Federal Port Building on San Pedrito beach. Their hours are
Monday through Friday 8-3. Questions can be answered 24-hours
a day by calling 200-30. Contact immigration right away if
you lose your tourist card.
Consulates:
Bill Le Coq is the volunteer consulate official in Manzanillo
and he works out of an office in the former Tenisol Hotel,
Monday through Saturday, 9-12. Tel.: 340-13.
Tourist Information
Offices: Tourismo is located at City Hall and is
open Monday through Saturday, 9-3 and 5-8. Their tourist packets
provide maps and general information, and staff can answer
general questions.
